Virginia Stitches

My BFF Virginia... she is pictured in previous posts with me at Silver Bella and at International Quilt Festival.... well, she's been inspired lately by the likes of Pam Garrison and Rebecca Sower and Charlotte Lyons. (all links on the side to your left) And I thought I'd show you what she recently whipped up....
The mustard seed heart is one her mother gave her many years ago.
Remember you can click on the pictures and make them larger.
Virginia doesn't have a blog..you can leave her comments here if you'd like!!!

That is beautiful! I love the colors and all the little doodads on there. I especially love the mustard seed heart - what a reminder to be able to see that everyday. We should all wear that heart on a ribbon around our necks when our faith grows weak - give her applause from me!

OMG, Virginia, that really is gorgeous, beautiful and stunning. I would PAY serious bucks for something like that. I forgot exquisite. It really is. Thanks for sharing, Linda. The detail is great. Will you be teaching at SB this year? :) Oh, and have you seen one that Heather Bullard did? Yummy too.

Virginia - you need a blog!! I love how your "heARTwork" works seamlessly with the mustard seed gem and tiny bottle of pearls, the buttons, the lace, the paper clips. You are genius. You should seriously consider submitting that to Somerset..... Again - I am in awe of your talent. And btw.... Linda is a BFF for sure... it is so sweet to share your talents with us! xoxo, anna

Yes, Virginia....you are talented!!! I have been in awe of Pam, Rebecca and
Heather, too. Now maybe you will truly be my inspiration. I have little bits
and pieces that I love but don't know what to do with....this! It is lovely
and warrants framing. Lovely colors...
Had the hardest time commenting on the blog today.....

I must say I like the piece better seeing it posted here! Thanks Linda for posting and thanks to those who commented as I appreciate the feedback. Great fun to make and I finally got to use my heart-shaped,mustard seed pendant that I've had for about 45 years!! Doubt I'll ever have a blog - I'm not very computer savvy! VB

Dang! just knew Nathalie would be on the ball and get in there before me! but just have to say this piece deserves not just a single fabulousess award but a double ha! Firstly for the colour, I so love the blue, cream and Brown together, it's one of my favourite combinations and secondly for the detail, such wonderful texture. And why doesn't Virginia have a Blog??? come along Linda, point her in the right direction, as they say here in Switzy hopp hopp...

Please tell Virginia that she not only has been inspired but has also taken her own flair and style to make these exquisite pieces of art. Bravo, Virginia, and thanks, Linda, for sharing your friend's work!
