 My walls look more yellow in these shots with the "good" camera. 

Guess I could adjust that in Photoshop....... nah....

   This one below is a little dark........ guess I should've turned a light on beyond the tree....

 This year I "clustered" some ball ornaments..... not bad....

Someone is Growing Up!

This week he turned 10 months!

House Centerpiece

Thought I'd drop in here with a few pictures. Made a centerpiece for a fundraising event this month.

Each table will have one of these metal crowns that we've filled with different things.

I put a paper mache house in this one.  I cut a hole in the bottom of it and and in the top of the box that it sits on....... and stuck some little tiny lights inside.

 Put some Christmas stems from Hobby Lobby on the top.  They are just wrapped around the top of the crown and lightly hot glued to each other.  I also put some silver garland down in the crown base before I put the house in there.

This is the back obviously.

I glued some lace inside over the windows. Not sure you can tell.

And below I'm showing you the battery pack hidden under garland, 

where it's easy to turn the lights on and off.

I told you I wasn't going to post much anymore............ looks like that has happened....

Paint Your Pumpkin

 So........ last week I decided to paint an old plastic pumpkin that was in my fall decorating box.

I just used inexpensive acrylics.  I did a white wash to begin and then did a few coats, drying between.  I put a bit of old gold metallic on the stem, but it doesn't really show.

I reallllly like it so much better now!

Got the gold orb at Target!

It's almost fall, y'all!

California Revisited

We lived in Orange County back in the mid-80's.

So it was fun to visit southern California last week.

That's DH and I on Coronado Island.

Of course we went to the San Diego Zoo.

Below is our grandson visiting with a gorilla!

I loved the reindeer. SD Zoo has everything. It's a beautiful zoo.....
but very hilly..........

Below is a Laguna Beach shot. We ate lunch there on Thursday on our way to visit our old hood!

And below is our old house....... top of a driveway.  Surprised it hasn't burned or slid off that hill!

Our son was 2 and 3 years old when we lived there........ now he has an almost 2 year old!

He didn't realize how high in the hills we lived!

 It was a fun week!!! 

Nice to look back!

I read that the best way to see if God is working in your life is to look backward.

Index Card A Day July 2015

I haven't kept up with ICAD this year as I have in the past.

But I do still love it!

Vegas

 So......... let's just say that I'm in my 60's and leave it at that.......

but I'm working on my bucket list and I had NEVER been to Las Vegas....

I played some of the slot machines and was so excited to win over $60.

I only played the penny machines.  So this was on a thirty cent bet. 

I cashed out! ha!

My Cards

I keep forgetting to post this.

A few of my friends decided to make birthday cards for me in May.

These are friends that don't make cards, in case you wondered.

The newsy looking piece in front is some "ephemera" from one of them.

I taught them that word 10 years or so ago.  

They still throw ephemera at me when 

they think they have some. 

(Note.... the card on the right is an altered card.... I gave her high praise!)
