Ruling the Roost

There he is!!!
He thinks this is his yard!
He fusses when we sit outside.... as if we have EVER bothered him!
I love how he can pitch such a fit with a worm in his beak!
I think the squirrel even plans his drinking around this guy!
I would like to show him this little fella.... and explain to him how much worse he could have it!
Yes..... this is one of those shots where you yell out... "stop the car" and jump out to take the picture. I couldn't believe he didn't fly away before I could focus! Bless his little heart. And I really don't think he was hiding his leg to con me either. Have a good bird watching weekend!

I love the birds in my yard but could do without how they poop all over the patio and front porch!! Great pics.

I love birds.
We have some nesting in one of our birdhouses.
So exciting.

Oh, my. Is this post ever full of beautiful photos. I love birds. I think I love them more the older I get.

Hugs,

What wonderful closeups Linda and I can just hear you "STOP the CAR" LOL...a girl after my own heart.
Your noisy neighbor bird looks like a black capped chickadee...sort of? They must be feeding a gaggle of baby birds with a big juicy treat like that!
Can you tell I really enjoyed your post :)
Happy Sunny Sunday (yesterday we almost floated away in the rains)

Wow -- that last pic -- fabulous. All of them, for that matter. I love watching the birds -- and so does the Gyp! Looks like he'd be in hog heaven!

Happy day!

Aren't our little feathered friends so much fun to watch? We used to have purple martins that literally dive-bombed anyone who came into their territory. It was like being in the live filming of that old movie, The Birds!

I can't believe that one-legged bird. Oh my. Is he a little picture of inspiration, or what?
Sweet post!
