Begonia, begonia, begonia....

Do you know what kind of begonia this is? I've had it for several years.... a friend gave me a cutting. I've repotted it once.
Patty says I need to repot it again (perhaps).
Although I also told her it was an Angelwing... it's not.
The PROBLEM is that it's N E V E R bloomed.
Yes, I've fed it. Perhaps not enough?
I've hauled it in and out of the house all winter for years avoiding the freezes...
I want it to BLOOM.
Well...we are going to watch it and see how it does this spring.
I'm open to suggestions....

I have nothing to add other than my mother had them and I've no idea whether they flowered or not! I'll ask her next time! Lovely pic, very cool leaves even without the flowers!

I have never had much luck with begonias- yours looks healthy tho!! Here is a link that might help you ID yours- there seem to be a gazillion varieties! http://www.begonias.org/greenhouse/index.htm

Some plants won't bloom if they get direct sunlight. I know that begonias are shade loving ..... Maybe that helps?

Make some blooms from buttons, paper and fabric on tall wire stems and stick them into the dirt. The leaves are beautiful and would show your art well!

I'm with Kimmie-- perhaps some shade?

I have no other advice "forth" coming (verification word). :)

I think it's from the Rex family of begonias. I think you might find that the blooms are insignificant and it's grown for it's beautiful foliage. :))

Nathalie's 'flower' suggestion is great!
a lot of begonias are prized for their foliage
I would not fertilize it if I were you...that could make more leaves and less blooms?
I read 'filtered bright light' is what they like
I like blooms too with my leaves!

I love to garden but no skills with begonias I'm afraid.

Got me -- I kill most green things. But I send you good wishes!
