Second Christmas in this house....

 

Still figuring out what works for the holidays...

You know that I definitely have enough Christmas stuff!

But I couldn't resist this sparkly garland.... it's like a bunch of hard glitter butterflies...

Keep forgetting to put a candle in the Angel's holder.... Poor thing.... maybe soon....

She is one of my favorite things.

I bought her in the 80's.

My friend Virginia got one, too.

We have always kicked ourselves because we only got one apiece.

I'm sure that was all we thought we could afford.

 

 

Conversation

 

Had a few friends over the other night...

 

It was cold for South Texas...

 

A few hardy ones wandered out to the fire pit to roast marshmallows.

 

And to talk....

 

Nothing like a roaring fire to ignite conversation....

 

 

Why is that?

December Blossoms!

 

I was in the backyard today exclaiming over how much is blooming!

On my way back in, I noticed two other pots with blooms that I didn't take photos of!

 

And....

what are the chances those lemons make it?

Willie Was Great

Willie Nelson was great! Such a national treasure!

He can still play that guitar like he's 20 years old.

You could feel the love and admiration in the audience for him.

So glad I got to see him live!

Tuesday night I'm going to see

this guy!

 

He's 80!

Where do the years go?

Seeing him perform live in Texas has been on my

bucket list the last couple of years

when I realized I had never seen him perform live

and he and I are both "getting up there"!

 

I'll let ya know how it was!

 

Sewn Together

Sewed the pennants together for my soon to be born grandson's room! I really like it!
