we had a nice long visit yesterday....

Tuesday Quilt Surprise

 I thought some of you would enjoy these....

I call it Tuesday Quilt Surprise because I rarely quilt these days and seldom have it on my blog...

But my sister recently made these two quilts and dropped by the other day to show them to me.

I wish I could remember the block names... but, of course, I can't.

This one below.... the fabric in the border and on the back... is from Walmart!

I've made a few quilts using Walmart fabric... they sometimes have the perfect thing!

That always makes me happy!

 These are for designated recipients... my sister is always making someone a quilt.

One of these is for a young man that was ejected from the pickup truck he was driving

and lost his arm.... when he was 18... a couple of years ago.

what is the saying....

When life gives you scraps, make a quilt.

Sip 'n See

 This may just be a "southern" thing ...

 but we invite friends to come by and see the baby with an event we call a "sip 'n see".....  

 We put out some food and some drinks and just sit around and visit and see the baby!

 Since my teacher daughter was coming out for a few days

 over Spring Break with her new baby girl...

I thought it was a perfect time to have some friends come by!

 We actually had people coming and going for three days!

 Wish you could've made it!

You would've had a great time and needed a little nap!

HOW TO REMOVE THE WORD VERIFICATION

ON BLOGGER THESE DAYS

There is no option for it in the new interface. You need to go back to the old interface to turn off word verification. From the new Blogger dashboard page, click the gear symbol under your profile picture and select "Old Blogger interface." On the old dashboard page, click on "Settings" then click on the "Comments" link below the tabs. That will get you to where you can unselect word verification. Click "Save Settings" at the bottom of that page when you are done. there is a link in the upper right hand corner of the old dashboard page so you can get back to the new interface.

( I copied the above instructions from somewhere ..... and I removed the word verification now on my blog... let me know if you have any problem leaving a comment... email me... it's on the ride side towards the bottom...)
