I went to a cookie exchange last Thursday night....first one in over 20 years. I think this is a tradition my friends and I need to revive. Mary Magnusson hosted it.... Mary retired this year - she's a minister in the United Methodist Church. She is such a blessing in my life and I get tears in my eyes now just thinking about her. She did the funerals for both of my parents. I love her! We even went to the same high school in Mobile, Alabama.... Murphy High School - Go Panthers.... Anyway...I digress ...although I did dream I was at a high school reunion last night - isn't that bizarre? Mary graduated ahead of me.... by a number of years.
Okay...I promise I'll be back before Christmas Eve!

Gosh, I would have stopped off when passing through Kingwood yesterday if I had known there were cookies to be had! I love the shadow box - soooo cool!
This glittery holiday scene is so festive and lovely. Beautiful work, as always.
Your cookies look so good! I haven't been to a cookie exchange since the ultimate Christmas hostess whose holiday home and cookie exchange surpassed all others gave up her party! We made 13 dozen. Lots of baking, but OH, the goodies we brought home!
I didn't know you and Mary went to the same school in the big town of Mobile, Alabama!! What a small, crazy world. Get this, she preached in League City before she came to our church...my Aunt Dot was the organist for the church. They were close buds. How crazy is that??? She kinda new about me my entire life and then now knows me. Hmmmm....God's little "weave".
Hugs,
Amanda
