Wreaths of Paper

I made this Saturday in the
middle of the kitchen
while my husband
started dinner.
I did throw some
salad stuff in a bowl!
I could not stop
rolling and gluing!
I love it!
This is where I saw it... Lindsay's and had to make one!
You know I didn't think of this on my own!!!
I hung it today...
What do you think?

It might not have taken me as long if I hadn't made my rolls so tight.

But I'm happy with it.

Here is another one

at Honeysuckle Lane

apparently there can

be variations on this!

I found both of these on

Dawn's wonderful blog -

she always has things to inspire me!

Have you started decorating yet?

Since Virginia's ornament is appearing on other sites....
thought I could share it here, too!
She was in the SB Felt Ornament Swap.... doncha love it!?
I upped the contrast as I took this in our hotel room!
We bought out Rebecca Sower's key necklaces at Vendor night!
I dearly love it!
Below are Kelly, me, Debe, and Virginia
in our necklaces
before we left for the airport to return home.

Samplers, Aprons and Pins! Oh My!

There was a "one on one" sampler swap that Virginia did. The sampler on the left was made by Virginia for Alisa Noble. The sampler on the right was made by Alisa for Virginia!
Are they incredible or what!!!!!!!!!!!
There was an apron swap, too.
In case you are new to my blog...these were all done for
Silver Bella.... they were signed up for on the Silver Bella
Yahoo Group ahead of time.
I love these aprons! You made your "fragments" and
sent them to Valita, who made the apron bases and
sewed the pieces on.
Everyone gets their swaps the first night after dinner
and the group project!
Above is Shannon's apron and
below is a full view! We like to make little goodies to share with our buddies.... Virginia made these felted flower pins for a few of us! ....still unpacking...

Silver Bella.... 2009 ... more...

Above is what I made in Rebecca Sower's class that I call the "cigar box class".
She gave us kits that had everything we needed. All I supplied was the box and the background paper. I also used a few of my own buttons and stuff and one of Virginia's for what is strung on the wire. I love her classes - I always leave with a finished project. I am going to glue a button on one of my blocks and maybe add a mica sheet....but otherwise it's complete!
These two are Rebecca's class samples. I also have a stick I can use, but I chose to use the flowers in my first one. Yes, I will be making more of these! I simply love them.
Below is Sabrina that was at SB for the first time.
She's from Florida... hopefully I have her moo card somewhere...
Here are Peggy, Katie and Janey.
That Peggy is always moving! Janey and me!!! Janey was one of my first Silver Bella friends at Silver Bella 2007!
Jo Packham was a wonderful speaker. She had us all in tears.... and laughing.
I didn't crop out the background cause you can see Teresa McFayden at the podium and Jo Packham, our speaker, of Where Women Create...which was there taking photos for an upcoming issue...standing in front of the podium... and I think that's Jennifer Murphy at the table to the right with her back to us...I took her Bundle Up Birdie class and loved it... and the blonde at that table is Charlotte Lyons. Jennifer and Charlotte and Teresa all have Silver Bella updates on their blogs today.
Carol at Raised in Cotton has some great photos of vendor night on her blog.
.... more later this week ....

Recovering from SB 2009

has come and gone...
but it will take days to tell you about it.
This is the centerpiece at Saturday's luncheon.
Cari Kraft made them!
The photo below is from Peggy...

Natalea, do you see Janey behind the tree!

We sat together in Pam Garrison's Lineage of Love class.

Janey loves me ........ pictures tomorrow...

Today I'll share photos of my two online friends that I met in person for the first time...

First is Katie!

And then I found Lynn a little later....

This is a picture of the 3 of us at the luncheon....

Katie is tall! I thought of her as petite!

Isn't that funny how we picture people?

But I was correct in how sweet and loving she is.

She is a beautiful woman inside and out! It was such a joy to meet her.

We only had one class together and we sat on opposite sides of the room...

that class was oversold - Rebecca Sower's cigar box class which was my

absolute favorite class!

Lynn is adorable. She is sooooooo cute and lively.

She needs a new picture on her blog.... she is a thousand times

more darling in person! I'll have to send her a new photo of herself!

Of course, I'm a thousand times cuter in real life myself.... so I get it.

......smile.... More TOMORRRRRROW!

That would be a no...

Today I went wedding gown shopping with my daughter.
May it be known....
none of the following were taken in the above place of business.
I couldn't get her to even try this one on!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is a real store! And below is evidence of what they make...
Below are some pictures I was allowed to take and to show...
however, none of them were on any
garments that were even taken
into a dressing room
by anyone
related to me.
I would've liked to have had some snips of these tho...
...... the search continues...

Sleep, Showers, Silver Bella

I just had to show you how ARt DoG watches football.

He's lying on an ottoman... he's quite large!

He loves football watching days!
Then Sunday there was a baby shower at my house....
I made a little corsage for the honoree to wear!
And I made a book of dresses....
had everyone write notes or tips to her
and, of course, I forgot to take a picture of it assembled.
But I had made a cover for it and I put holes in each shoulder
and tied with ribbons.
You know ....
where I go on Thursday, right?

Inchies of Thanks

While I'm waiting for the remainding matchboxes to arrive... thought I'd show you the inchies I made for a recent Thankful Inchie swap. They look SOOOO much better in person.... but I glued a beautiful autumn napkin to watercolor paper and then I brushed melted beeswax on it and then I stamped it with rubberstamps that had leaves on them!!! Turned out pretty cool!

What happened to October?

Well, one thing I did in October
was start making an Advent Calendar
for Christmas out of tiny matchboxes.
I'm hosting a swap on Christian Paper Artists!
This is my box... Day 1!
Below is a shot of all the boxes I've received so far....
the last 5 or 6 should be arriving today or tomorrow
so I can sort and mail them back out!
This has been the greatest little swap!
