Weekend Stitches

Did some embroidery this weekend...
thought I'd show you sneak peeks of things I've been working on.
Below is a glimpse of something I added
to my large cloth embroidery...
this is from Teresa's Free Style Embroidery Ezine!
On Saturday we met the future bride, her fiance and his parents.... no, not in LONDON....
the city that will most likely be chosen
as the Host City
for the
Rehearsal Dinner
and
housing of out of town guests...
Below is a glimpse of the
hotel I want to stay at..
The Marriott in the middle
of great shopping
and restaurants!
just happened to be
rescuing a horse
from a pond
at the time.
What did you do this weekend?

'Morning! Ok, I love it already - That turquoise-y looking bird. At least it looks kinda turquoise-y on my computer. Birds + turquoise = I love it! The flowers are pretty, too, and all springy.

Your "bride" is lovely - I know things are about to be busy-busy for you guys!

you inspired me to share about my wkend.... as you already read :) Yah! a nest for us this year! Your stitching is beautiful... How do you keep your fabric from not fraying? Do you stabilize it? The bride to be looks lovely.... is she hinting for a honeymoon in London? How romantic that would be!!
I have a funny story about Stephen F Austin.... When we first moved to Houston... I keep seeing all these bumper stickers... "SFA" "SFA" mixed in with the other cars..... "UT" and "aTm" For several (and I mean, several) months, I thought "WOW there sure are a lot of TREKKIES" here in Houston. Eventually, we took our first trip up to the far northeast of TX..... and discovered there was a WHOLE university named SFA!! WOW - that's some Star Fleet Academy. LOL :)

Hi Linda!
Your stitching is so sweet. I can't do it anymore, but used to do a lot of counted cross stitch in my day.

What did I do this weekend? Went thrifting of course!

The bride-to-be is beautiful. Can't wait to hear more about the wedding.

Hi Linda,
I'm so glad you left a comment on my blog! A Texan! We lived in Houston for quite a few years back in the 80's. I LOVE your stitched birdie and other embroidery. Started peeking around and had to laugh because my post I am finishing for tomorrow is about a piece of art from Patty! Can you hear the tune "it's a small world after all..." :) ! I'll have to come back and snoop some more.
