Saturday Sightings

Once my foot had healed enough following my surgery in April,
I had to find a dress for my daughter's wedding.
Then there was all that other "pre-wedding" stuff!
I've finally been able to make my way upstairs to my art room
and spend some time with my paper and glue!
In the next few days I will be having a giveaway to celebrate a significant number of posts!
I can never remember what it is.... remind me to look at that number and write it down!
The above postcard will be in amongst all the goodies I'm gathering for said giveaway.
I felt it needed some text at the bottom.... so I looked in a local telephone book for an appropriate name.
Have you ever done that for your art piece?
It's amazing what is in there!
And I'm in a Dove wrapper tag swap
People keep joining...making me eat more candy
to find just the right quotes!

....and here is a peek at one of the embroidery round robins I'm in....

not gonna say which one it is....

Be watching for my giveaway!
It's a good one!
(aren't they all?)

Glad to hear that things are normalizing after the wedding. I'm looking forward to having a bit of time to play again after the 4th.

Do show us photos of your dress - and you in it, of course!

I haven't seen that sampler yet, I think. I'm sampler-less at the moment.

I hope my Dove tags turn out so well! These are GORGEOUS!! :)

My fave is the one covered in lace which really surprises me, I'm not usually a lace girl but it's so WONDERFUL!! and those cute little flowers....FABULOUS!!

Oh, I do love that bird postcard. I am going to have to keep my eyes wide open.

Who would ever think of a Dove tag swap? Love the ones you have done. You must have a ton of graphics to be able to find cute pictures that match the sayings or do you just get out a magazine?

I am glad your foot has healed. I understand the wedding dress drama now. We are going to Croatia for the wedding of our exchange student son and I don't own an appropriate dress (I hardly own a dress since I have retired!) I have looked everywhere and on every site and can't find a thing. Blah!

Have a great rest of weekend. We are cooking all the veggies in the refrigerator for dinner ;-)

Hugs,
Suz

Hi Linda - Some purty stuff going on here, as usual! That bluebird really POPS. I'm glad you're able to be up and around again, moving slow, but still moving. My friend at church broke her ankle and she has been riding around on one knee on a little scooter thingie. It looks kinda fun, but she's sick to death of it. Take care!

So good to see your art again and to know you are having fun getting back to your creative side. (Not that planning a zillion wedding favors wasn't creative!) And early congratulations! I hope I don't miss your drawing while I'm away this weekend!
