It's hot in Texas!
I never did take a new photo of the recent stitching below...without the blue lines...
You can only see a little blue.
Think I need to go back and add
some stitching to separate the
house and the heart!
Or not?
And I can't decide if
I should put
berries on
the vine?
As in
french knots.
Happy 4th of JULY! I've gone to the lake! Enjoy!

i'm off to the lake too! (we are headed to mammoth lakes....) LOVE your stitching! xo, anna
I vote yes on the separation of home from heart. Wow, that sounded awful, didn't it? Just sew a line there! That's better. And yes, of course, on the french knot berries! What are you doing taking a break? You need to be home watering those dead flowers! All of my vegetable container gardens are deader than door nails...whatever that means. No tomatoes, peppers, okra or onions. Sniff.

This is beautiful! I had trouble with a preschedule, too. One reason was I forgot to change the dates, but the other just didn't. Must be blogger crud!
I'm catching up and will probably not comment on everything for a day or two, but trust me, am looking through all the way! Happy Fourth!
Yes to both the french knot berries and the stitching between heart and home.
Your sampler is beautiful!
Have a wonderful 4th of July and I hope you can cool off in the lake.

I vote yes to berries, especially French knotted ones! I think it would look fab, I love how this piece is coming along.
Happy 4th July splashing!
I love to hand sew but I need to expand the number of stitches I know. It's on my never-ending list of things to learn. Love your piece and the beautiful flower photo.
awww poor zinnias got fried!
french knots are one of my fav stitches, I think they might be as good addition! wonderful sampler!
hope you got to cool off at the lake!
I LOVE your needle work. That is one thing I really have no interest in. It's probably because I stink at it. I've tried it several different times doing small projects and I'm just not good at it. Your work is lovely!
Linda, your stitched piece is just wonderful- love the little bird nest! xo natalea
