Warrenton 2014 Spring

Returned to my concrete doll head planter booth!

Pictures from last fall's show here.
(He had more heads then...)

He has more than doll heads....
lots more....
He's behind Excess and on the left side.
(Warrenton)

Soooooo... it's Texas Antique Week in Round Top/Warrenton, TX!
So if you've read this blog for a few years, you know I'm going....
Melinda and I went just for the day yesterday........ a beautiful day in the 60's!

Those dishes above would be great for someone that plays cards a lot.... didn't buy em.
They were still at Clutter when I left there yesterday.

The doll head lady is still in Warrenton.......... remember when she was at the very back?
Not any more........... more booths beyond her now!

Clutter shot just cause I love them!

Below are some great bottles and some reallllllllllly nice baskets.... Yesterday a lot of set up was still going on.......... it's very early in the show.... (click on the pictures to see larger)...

Loved these benches below...............

I didn't buy a lot........... sweet, sweet old book of script and some lace (all from Clutter).

Got this dove bird house (tin)....... from Mexico.... $15....

Great article in The Huffington Post last year.

And I finally gave in and bought an olive basket.
Not sure what I'm going to do with it.
Going price seemed to be $35 right now.
(One booth was charging $60!!!)

In case you haven't seen these...
(they are all over Round Top/Warrenton)
look here on Pinterest.
And here on Etsy!!!

If you stillllllllllll don't know if you should go,
watch this!!!

Back to Warrenton

 It was a cold day.
A cold and windy day.
But shopping went on!

As someone who considers herself a
"paper artist"...
doing collage, altered books, mixed media....
there are supplies like you cannot
imagine at the Texas Antique Weekends...
often just called "Roundtop".
But I didn't buy any supplies.
I have enough to set up my own booth!

I did buy a Santos head (like the one above)....

I also bought a piece of sculpture (bird in a hat).....
 forgot to take a photo...
will show you later....

I would LOVE to have the door below....
I would hang it on a wall....

 Anything you want is there!
You should definitely plan to go one day.
 Loved the bus!

And I do have a thing for lanterns and bird cages.....
The one below is a lantern..... I did NOT buy it...

Round Top, Texas is pretty much in the middle of the whole event....
the whole event stretches for miles.
I typically prefer Warrenton, Texas..... south of Round Top.
We also went to a lot of booths/tents north of Round Top yesterday.

It's ALL good!
You would LOVE it!!!

Warrenton Again!

Okay...so tomorrow....... Thursday..... I'm heading over to Warrenton, Texas with three friends!
We decided to just "run over" for the day!
Better than nothin!
These are some pictures I took when I was there last ... for the fall show of 2008!

Here are some people that are writing about it on their blogs:

The Antique Weekend Web Site! says this: This is a very well established event that has continued to grow in popularity for forty years. Originally started in Round Top, several other shows began popping up in other nearby communities. The largest show community today is Warrenton where several halls and dozens of fields are filled twice a year. In just the last few years there has been tremendous growth. One relative newcomer, Marburger Farms, covers a 40+ acre site just south of Round Top and has attracted the largest number of dealers. Altogether there's more than 300 acres used for the great Texas AntiqueWeekend events!
