Exclusion

I realllllllly love the exclusion setting in PSE 8. You saw some of these pieces on my worktable last week. I finally mailed them off to unsuspecting individuals. But before I did so.... I scanned them so that I can use them in my art journal or make cards, etc. I also really like to alter them digitally.... which often makes them so much better than they were! (as in the one above) See the original below: And I made some postcards.... haven't mailed them yet.... The woman on the left has been in my box of clippings for awhile. She seems to have some issues. And the girl on the right is from the Christy Tomlinson's workshop She Art. I'm not finished with Week 2 yet!!! But I do love the class. and below is a crazy postcard using one of my favorite images... It's my mother-in-law as a young girl.
I use it over and over! See.... I am doing SOMETHING!!!

Winning is Good!

I won this circus ATC
titled "She liked to dream big!"
from Katie over at

She arrived in great company...

and wrapped in a vintage hankie!
Katie has been an online friend for awhile now and...
we are going to get to meet
in
November
at Silver Bella!
I know.... I can't believe it either!
There will be lots of pictures taken!
Also...have to show you that today I made a label
for the water bottles I'm including
in the gift bags for the
hotel guests
at my
son's wedding
next month!
Maybe tomorrow I'll assemble the
cookie boxes and glue the
flowers on them!
Maybe!!

ATC Paper Dolls!

Nathalie's hosting an ATC Paper Prayer Doll Swap on Christian Paper Artists.
It's a two for two swap and here are mine.
The tiny white spots on the leaves of this Nandina are because we had our house painted last month... not bugs! This one below is my fave.... she's out of an old children's book.
She has carrot legs!
Both dolls have satchels on their backs with prayers in them... P.S. on Monday the 23rd.... I just have to say that I feel so badly for the old children's book mom with the carrot legs. No one seems to like her.... everyone likes the pretty girl best. I think carrot legs used too much baby oil with iodine in it when in the sun as a young girl ....
