Crocheted Dress

I have had this little doll dress as long as I can remember.
My mother made it.... I dressed dolls up in it.... I'm guessing the 60's but could've been in the 50's now that I'm writing this.
My sister claimed it after me.... but I retrieved it from a box at her house last year.
Michael's has frames and shadowboxes on sale right now....
so today I placed this little jewel in one!
Well, for now I'll stick with the 60's.... makes me feel younger that way! I stitched one of my mother's crochet needles in there, too!

  1. I love that little dress - what a sentimental keepsake! I can't believe your sister would give it up so easily even if it was yours all along. We need to learn to make those! VB

what color is it exactly ... both look lovely!

I had a time trying to get a photo of my altered teaspoon ... made me crazy! Natural light is the best, but I'm not finding it like in spring and summer ... won't be long now!

  7. This is SWEET! I have embroidered napkins and placemats that my grandmother made for me 25 years ago that I keep saying I'm going to frame. You have inspired me to stop procrastinating and frame them.

  8. I love this dress! I remember it from when we'd go to Granny's in the summers. I'd put it on old Barbies, even though it was a little big. I want that shadow box one day!
