In stitches

As you know........ I had foot surgery two weeks ago yesterday.

Today I get my stitches out!!!

Next week I get x-rays

and hopefully news that I can put weight on my left foot.

Until then I just keep stitching...

the problem is I have no creative juices!

I did remember that I hadn't shown you this piece...

my big tea towel that I just stitch stuff randomly on.

I have two of BFF Virginia's pieces on here....

that bottom heart in the 2nd picture and the fabric bird

in the other one.

I've been working on a piece for the QB5ers....

but I'm going to rip out some of it shortly...

will share soon.......

This is a little booklet I made to travel with my piece,

so they can all sign in!

I was inspired by wonderful Viv of Hen's Teeth.

I'm still in the healing process following my foot surgery.

Keep praying I can bear weight at 3 weeks....

My foot surgery on the 15th went well.

Was abit more involved than expected...but all is well.

Just have to be off my foot for 3 weeks minimum.

Okay.... so I couldn't give BFF Virginia (BFFV) this right away cause if I did it would reveal her birthday present. So I waited as long as I could. This image is from Pam Garrison's new rubber stamp line. I bought BFFV that set of Pam Garrison rubber stamps for her birthday, hoping she hadn't seen them. Of course.... BFFV had ALREADY bought it for herself. You know what that means... there will be a Give-Away soon.... Meantime... I'm having foot surgery tomorrow. So I'll be away abit. I hope to schedule a post or two for ya.... we'll see what I get done.

Friday I went shopping for a dress to wear to my daughter's wedding

in July.

I found NOTHING!

Thought I'd go to Flickr and see what Mothers of the Bride

are really wearing..... see above!

The dragon lady that helped me at the most upscale store in Houston

told me that the dress below was too low-cut for me to wear

to my daughter's wedding.

I think she's crazy... but I'm not going back to get it anyway.

It's silk on top and chiffon on the bottom.

And, it's not black...it's navy like the bridesmaids dresses.

I think I need to keep in mind how will I appear on Flickr!
