Wool Hopes!

 

Inside this box labeled HOPE,

is my wool!!!

 

The other day I got it out and placed it where I would have to see it

most of the day!

 

I bought some great yardage a couple of years ago to make a table runner.

I think I'm on the verge of actually starting it....

 

 

I've spent a lot of time on Pinterest being inspired.

I've sketched a few ideas.

I even laid the yardage out on the table to see what I was dealing with!

 

Just think.... in a few weeks I may actually begin!

 

Have you done much wool applique?

Pillows

 I got the Pottery Barn pillow cover "Snow" for Christmas....

Finally put a pillow form in it today and plopped it on the bed!

I think it'll work year round, don't you?

 

It was so sunny today....

colors hard to capture here...

my bedroom walls are a very light seafoam green!

Lots of grays in the bed linens....

the throw at the end is a bit of a seafoam green...

Is it too COLD for This?

 

 I read on Lorrie's blog that it's Hot Tea Month or such....

but for me it's Blue Bell Peppermint Ice Cream Season

until it disappears off the freezer shelves!

 

And the brown stuff you see in the bowl is Bailey's!

Lingering Magic

Great fireworks on New Year's Eve at my friend's house....

at least on her street!

 

The gang below didn't want to be packed away!

I looked them up on Ebay and told my daughter their value.

I'm afraid she'll throw everything out when I'm gone!

Below is the deer I had on my Wish List!

My son and his wife got it for me.

(mostly his wife I must say)

 

 

I can hang things on his antlers (but you knew that)!!!

And yes, those antlers come out.  They are wire.

It's from Wisteria.

 

Hard freeze coming tomorrow night..... my things are all still blooming.

My lemon tree is blooming it's little head off...

also the Christmas Cactus.... They are all huddled together on the side patio.

Owl Be Seeing You!

 

 

 

He's a little frayed in his wings...

But I whipped him up one night a couple of weeks ago

out of the banner fabric for a banner I made for my

 soon to be born grandson's room.

 

I really have to start sewing more this year!

I almost forgot how!

 

I did some embroidery stitches on top of his wings,

but didn't photograph that.

 

I never pick a word for the year!

Never!

But....

if I was going to pick a word.......

 

it might be....

 

SEW!

 

ha!

 

I don't think that's a good choice.

 

But I hope I sew more this year...

I looked at my blog last year and the only thing

I really did art wise was that

Index Card a Day

and

then I did on my own a Tag a Day for awhile.

 

I didn't even make anything for Christmas!!!

 

Oh.... I did do a few canvases in that one class

(Junelle and Christy)....

 

I'm going to do better....

My blog is boring!!!
